A Master Teacher of Voice
Recently retired international opera singer Nicholas Loren is quickly establishing
himself as west Michigan's preeminent private vocal instructor.

Having moved from New York City, Mr. Loren now resides and operates his
vocal studio in Holland, Michigan. His current roster of students boasts over
130 singers of all ages, including dozens of area college and private voice
instructors and choral directors who seek to improve their own singing and
teaching skills. In fact, Loren's reputation is such that his students commute
from as far away as NYC, Indiana, Chicago, Detroit, Kalamazoo and
Lansing, as well as Muskegon and the greater Grand Rapids area.

Nicholas serves as the Holland Chorale's staff vocal consultant and
inaugurated that organization's annual vocal competition on September 26,
2009. This prestigious event has since received national attention and in
2012 will offer over $2,000 in cash prizes. For more information about the
competition please go to

"Nicholas teaches more than just voice.  By example, he teaches his students how to live beautifully!"

"Students need more than just the right vocal information. Most importantly, they need an intuitive
response to their personality.". Singing requires a vulnerability to open yourself up. It is a spiritual journey-
when you're exploring your voice, you're exploring yourself. It is paramount to me to create a positive, safe
haven of learning for every one of my singers."
